I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor with Supervisor status (LPCC-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). I am the proud owner of Essence Counseling Group, LLC and on the Community Crisis Response Team for Netcare Access. I am certified and trained in the following mental health treatment modalities: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy-for Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Practices, Person Centered etc. Although I utilize the various treatment modalities, I often couple them with Mindfulness Based Practices and Spiritual Direction interventions to increase self -insight and intuition.

Jessica Fowler, MA, LPC, LPCC-S is the owner of Ohio Valley Counseling, LLC a private practice nestled in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. She is independently licensed in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania Jess most of her career has focused on working with children and adolescents and their parents. However, my passion is helping clients process their traumas or adverse experiences. She is trained in several modalities including CBT, DBT, Substance Abuse/Recovery models, and EMDR. Currently Jess is working towards her EMDR certification through EMDRIA. In past positions, she has served as Clinical Supervisor to several programs and counties in Ohio. She is a teacher and mentor at heart and loves helping therapists grow into strong, independent clinicians. In her private practice she offers trauma informed supervision to dependently licensed therapist as well as collaborating with other private practitioners. Jess describes herself as an avid reader, loves creating arts and crafts, but her heart is most happy spending time with her husband and almost 4-year-old son.
